When we last saw them, this amazing family was posing sweetly for a group photo. Many times people ask if I do posed photography. I usually answer “no, but…” because the reality is that parents and grandparents want that shot. It’s perfectly reasonable to expect that by enlisting the services of a photographer, no matter their style, you can come away with an image for your holiday card. However, (and maybe I’m biased), I don’t think these images tell the complete story of a family. To do that, we need to see how everyone relates to each other and their environment. Don’t you think so? That’s why I love taking family photos at locations that have meaning to the family when they are doing something together. With just the simplest activity, a magic is created that relaxes everyone and showcases the authentic heart of that family. Relationships are illuminated and connections revealed. Over time, the images that have the most meaning for my family are those that tell our story. And, it turns out they are very frame-worthy (even holiday card-worthy).
The adventure continues at the Rochers de Naye, including the discovery of the alpine garden, a petit repas on the terrace, two more amazing view discoveries, a tour of the yurts and some very tame birds. If you want to see more from this session, simply click here .
