We woke up early to make sure to get a spot on the telecabin directly from Fiesch on the second day of our glacier adventure. If you read my post about Day One, you know that we missed the telecabin and walked 1.5 hours up to the Moosfluh viewing station. I was pretty sure my kids weren’t going to go for that kind of hike again (nor was I)! This time we went up to the eastern most viewing station at Eggishorn and were treated to a much more developed area with a restaurant and larger viewing stations. The only disappointment was having to share the view with hundreds of people after having the glacier all to ourselves the day before. No worries, though! We found some isolated places and walked further afield to get a proper view and experience the Energy Spots present at the summit. Rather than walking down, we descended by telecabin and then continued our adventure with a lunch picnic on the gorgeous Rhone River. We followed the river to the Goms Suspension Bridge which has been on my bucket list for two years now! Although it’s wobbly and can be a bit scary at the beginning, we crossed over and enjoyed the 92 meter high views of the river before resting on the far side and then heading back home, tired but exhilarated from our adventure!
